The Mighty Mac individual home sewage treatment system is an extended aeration, activated sludge process and more. There are two (2) working areas inside the plant. The aeration zone is where air is introduced, agitating the liquid, and adding oxygen to the liquid. This promotes the growth of bacteria which in turn digests the organic matter in the liquid. The second area is inside a cone located inside the tank. This area is the quiet zone where the liquid rises upward. As the water rises upward, the suspended solids settle back into the aeration zone. This is a continual process with the final discharge of a clear odorless liquid being produced. With new designs and configurations, Mighty Mac has greatly improved the final discharge.
The treated wastewater is so pure that it can be used for spray irrigation of landscaping, drip or subsurface irrigation or surface discharge to a drain swale.
Due to water rationing and the increasing lack of water in Los Cabos, water conservation has become a necessity. It is now possible to treat both black and grey water to a quality that allows you to safely spray irrigate with absolutely no odor. We recently received an e-mail from a customer that stated the "effluent was crystal clear like purified water". Mighty Mac, through its new design and configuration of the treatment process, can do this for your family as long as there are no deliberate or accidental abuses with chemicals, sanitizers, cleaners, paints, plastic wrappers, condoms, sanitary napkins, or anything that is not readily bio-degradable.
The 110V air pump used to supply air to the treatment system is very quiet and uses less electricity than a 60 watt light bulb. This means that those on solar can also enjoy the benefits of a Mighty Mac system.
The Mighty Mac Wastewater Treatment Systems have been tested and certified by NSF International. Mighty Mac met or exceeded the NSF/ANSI Standard 40, Class 1 certification, which is the criterion that residential wastewater treatment systems are tested against. In fact, the Mighty Mac 500 tested higher than any manufacturer so far.
All systems are sold with a two year service contract.
